Schwer zu sagen, worauf man sich mehr freuen soll, auf die Autobiographie von Eric Clapton (VÖ 9.10.), oder auf die von Slash (VÖ 15.10.). Eine Leseprobe aus der ersten gibts bei der Times. Man beachte vor allem Aussagen wie:

"I went back into hiding and sank to new lows, with Alice following close behind. I was soon taking vast quantities of heroin every day, and my cravings had become so powerful that Alice was giving me virtually everything that she was able to score, compensating for the heroin she was missing by drinking neat vodka, up to two bottles a day."

"There seemed to be a postpsychedelia drunkenness that swept over everybody in the entertainment business during the early Seventies. To be on stage, you were almost expected to be drunk. I remember doing one entire show lying down on the stage with the microphone stand lying beside me, and nobody batted an eyelid."


Andererseits spielt Slash ja nicht nur bei der drogenabhängigsten Band seit Guns 'N' Roses, Velvet Revolver, nein: er war auch Mitglied von - Guns 'N' Roses. Wenn das Buch hält was Slash verspricht, dann könnte es ähnlich gut werden wie weiland Mötley Crües The Dirt. [btw, das ist eine Empfehlung]
